A few thoughts

Were I to have to choose a favorite character, I might implode. It would be like trying to pick your favorite book. I have favorites, but not really one. Though there is one I've written almost 10 books about (I'm almost finished writing 10 as I write this) and probably 20 short stroies around.
So. To be fair, Kable is close to my heart and always will be.
I have to say that Jekyll, Hyde, and Elvira have been some of my very favorites to write about. If you haven't read Abyss Gazing, Elvira is a key personality in it. And in that same vein, I loved the personality swapping and unique views of all 6 main characters in the Amethyst Shoals Murphys. So much so that I may have to detour a little into another trilogy of love, lust, and...well, if you know me at all, murder. Of course.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the complexity of writing different characters with vastly differing personalities and motivations. Characters are the building block of every story I write. Good, bad, indifferent. You can't have a good story without good and bad characters. Taffeta Belmonte may be a dispicable human, but she's very good at being hatable.
Themes you'll find threaded throughout my writing, no matter which series.
A. Nice and Kind are not the same.
B. Pretty is as pretty does. Being attractive doesn't make you a good person.
C. With great power comes great resonsibility...yeah me and Spidey (Stan Lee)
D. Family is more than blood, sometimes we make our own families
E. You do the best you can with what you have at that time
F. Being different is beautiful and here we celebrate our differences
