Something Different and New
As I finished Kable's 10 book, the draft anyway, I read a lot. And as I read, I found a genre that is newer to me but also feels like home. GameLit or LitRPG, and yes, I'm a Donut Hole and in the Princess Posse. If you don't know what that means, you are going to have to check out Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the writing, the stories, and the characters. Carl and Donut are fantastic.
And I just finished book 8. Which left a bit of a void. And I think we all know what I do when I can't find the thing I want. Yep, I make my own. So, I'm trying one on for size. It's about half-way through and I am thoroughly enjoying myself. I have no idea how it will turn out, but if it goes well, it'll be another series for me to fall in love way too deeply with the characters.
That being said, if you like that kind of thing or know anyone that does, be on the lookout. I will also say that Book 7 in the KableVerse has a bit of LitRPG already. And I wrote that over a year or more ago. I'm slowly working on editing Book 7 and if you haven't looked at the Author site, the title is Dimensions of Chaos. And I'm hoping to get it out by the end of the year or sooner.
I hope you're staying sane and cool. I'm not, but that's certainly nothing new.
